What makes the London General Practice Different?
Part 2
At The London General Practice, we are often asked about what is different about LGP, the answer rather depends on your perspective. So in the second of a two-part blog we look at what is different about The London General Practice for our Doctors.
Our Harley Street Doctors
Our GPs have the time they need to spend with their patients. Appointments are at least 30 minutes and our availability of same day appointments and ability to do home visits mean we get to patients quickly.
London General Practice Doctors work both in clinic and out of hours. There is quite a variety in what we do and because we don’t use Locum Doctors but only those who have been trained in our way of working it is small team that understands how each other works.
We can see our patients 24 hours a day 7 days a week every day of the year and if the patient can’t come to us, our Doctors will go to the patient
We have a really interesting and diverse patient base. While we are well known for our work with many well-known media and arts personalities, most of our patients are London based families who have been with us many years.
We also work with many high profile businesses and their leadership teams. Our relationships with the very best hotels in London mean that we not only care for their guests but often manage occupational health for their staff and healthcare support for their leadership teams.
All of that makes for a very interesting time for our Doctors and our support for them is critical.
All our GPs work alongside their own Medical Secretary who has their own confidential space adjacent to the Doctor. And are supported by expert nursing team.
Being in the heart of London’s Harley Street Medical Area also means LGP Doctors have access to experts in every field. As a part of HCA our Doctors and teams have the top Consultants from every specialty visit regularly to train and answer questions, developing our team’s skills and network.
LGP Doctors provide proactive preventative care. By recommending regular comprehensive health screening to all our patients we have the ability to increase our chances of identifying serious conditions early. Because we are first a General Practice we also then treat and manage the care for our patients. Where we need to refer to consultants, our location and our network of experts mean we can act as an advocate for the patient throughout their care.
At The London General Practice our doctors get to deliver primary care the way they have always wanted to deliver it. Properly supported, with the time to care and an interesting and varied group of patients.
