At the London General Practice we work with a team of highly skilled and experienced psychologists, CBT therapists and psychotherapists who have been carefully selected for their excellence in patient work.
Our therapist takes time to fully understand an individual’s difficulties before tailoring a treatment programme to meet their specific needs — rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. There are therapists with different specialisms in all areas of mental health, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, PTSD and addictions; and we are able to match patients to therapists who best suit their requirements. Our key focus is on ensuring we develop an excellent therapeutic relationship with our patients to allow them to feel safe in the process of change and to achieve their full potential.
We offer brief and medium-term therapy (when clinically indicated) with individuals and couples, using a range of evidence-based models of therapy, mainly:
- cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
- rational emotive behavioural therapy (REBT)
- psychodynamic psychotherapy
- acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
All therapists are bound by a professional code of ethics and registered with their relevant professional body. We are an inclusive service recognising, respecting and embracing diversity in our clinical work.
Corporate Psychology & Employee Health
The London General Practice psychologists and therapists are experienced at working in corporate environments, and are able to sign-post towards other services within employee health benefits and services, such as Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). Mental health has become a prevalent issue for all companies across the UK who are increasingly seeking to look after the holistic health needs of their workforce.
